Our much-anticipated video and podcast series, As A Mother, launches today. This collection of eight documentary-style short films features eight local Vancouver moms and their impact on our community.
VancouverMom.ca: I Dream As A Mother, Ep. 1, features Aisha Kiani. It's the story of one mother's refusal to accept the limited range of books in their son's school library. The story highlights Aisha's experience with systemic racism within the school community. It also highlights their determination to create change by developing an online platform; I Dream Library.
