Vancouver Mom supports #BCBuyLocal Week

November 30 to December 6, 2020

BC businesses have been hit hard by the pandemic.

You can keep them open.

Women influence 80% of purchasing decisions. And as a mom, it’s easy for you to do your part.

Here are seven ways for you to take action during #BCBuyLocal Week:

1. Buy local online

Support local businesses out of the comfort of your home. Two out of every three dollars spent online in Canada goes to a US multinational. You can buy B.C. when you buy online.

2. Shop in store

Visit your favourite storefronts this holiday season. 63 cents of $1 spent at local retailer stays in the community compared to 14 cents for chains.

3. Promote and share

Show your love of local. Share how you’re supporting local business with the hashtag #BCBuyLocal. You can also change the overlay on your Facebook profile (requires login to Facebook) to support the campaign.
