You’re invited to a fun, FREE morning of inspiring art classes on Monday May 9th! From 9 am to noon, young artists ages 2 to 6 can take part in up to two different sessions. Classes include Drawing & Painting, Imagination Through Movement, Dress-up Drama and Mixed Media and Sculpture. This event is FREE, so register now before these classes fill up! Drawing & PaintingGet ready for adventures in shape, colour, and pattern! Young artists learn about art and design through play. Little ones get their hands on various materials that may include watercolours, tempera paints, oil pastels, or chalks to investigate painting and drawing techniques. Imagination through MovementBe inspired by music! Kids learn to express themselves through imagery, improvisation, and a sense of play. Class activities may include character creation, rhythm games, and simple choreography. Dress up – DramaStories and myths from around the world inspire journeys into the landscape of imagination. Inspiring theatre games provide a stage for kids, who become fantastical creations and characters with the help of Arts Umbrella’s costume “tickle trunks.” Mixed Media & SculptureLet imagination grow! Children explore colour, pattern, and texture, and use many materials and techniques on one surface. The studio is filled with diverse materials and tools, that may include cardboard, pastels, wood, inks, and readymades. PS: Don't forget to REGISTER for this amazing FREE event! Space is limited.
