Wesbrook Village Festival, a fusion of family fun, food and entertainment

Sixth annual festival returns to UBC community with free food and activities for all VANCOUVER, August 16, 2016 — The bustling boulevards of Wesbrook Village will be alive with family-friendly activities during the community’s sixth annual community festival on Saturday September 10. This special event promises fun for all ages: young families, students and adults alike. Gifted kids educator and performer, RupLoops, Vancouver’s favourite Dance Band (celebrating over 20 years of spreading the joy) Dr. Strangelove, and Brazilian beats by Bloco Energia will take to the main stage with tunes and entertainment that will appeal to all. Shoppers can enjoy a sidewalk sale where local retailers and artisans will showcase new products with interactive games and contests. Festivalgoers will enjoy a free BBQ lunch and tasty samples from local eats and community retailers including Doughgirls Comfort Kitchen and Bakeshop, Rogers’ Chocolates and Murchie’s Fine Tea. BierCraft Restaurant will also be hosting a Happy Hour Beer Garden. For the young at heart, the festival also features a kids zone, complete with face-painting fun, craft tables, bouncy castles and rock climbing wall.
