Vancouver Mom is looking for new writers to join our editorial staff 

Editorial Contributors (2-3 positions available)

Work from home contract position

We’re looking for a 2-3 in-the-know Vancouverites to join our mom gang here at VancouverMom as a member of our editorial staff. We want you to tell (and show) our readers the best things about being a mom in our city - from kids’ activities and family fun you love to that new 50-flavour milkshake joint to the 5 best boredom busters on a rainy day.

We are looking for moms that can commit to submitting 2-6 articles per month and commit to doing so for at least a 6 month term (preferably longer). 

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a writer (links to previous work will be requested) 

• Familiarity with VancouverMom content (website, social media, eNewsletter, events, etc)

• Computer proficiency (WordPress, Google, digital editing, web search and databases)

• Excellent writing skills in English

• Ability to follow deadlines and fact-check information

• Ability to source royalty free images to match with editorial and/or take quality photos that meet criteria

As part of the VancouverMom.ca editorial team you will be asked to attend a monthly editorial meeting to help develop content strategy. Even though this is a work from home position we are looking for a team player that will collaborate with the rest of the editorial staff.This is a freelance, contract position and compensation will be negotiated based on experience.If this sounds like you...we want to talk to you!
