Free to Be Media literacy program for kids

RAW Beauty Talks is excited to announce the launch of our new positive body image program, Free To Be! Designed for students in grades 6-8, Free To Be empowers boys and girls to reach their full potential by developing media literacy awareness and taking a strengths-based approach to raising self-esteem in youth. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation individuals aged 8-18 years old consume over 7.5 hours of media a day and approximately 50% of boys and girls age 6 – 12 years old are dissatisfied with their bodies. The program, which is taught in 5-sessions by a trained facilitator, reaches kids at a time when they are most vulnerable As a proud sponsor of the program, we're helping them raise over $10,000 this month so that 1,000 kids in the Lower Mainland can participate in the program in 2016. Help them exceed their fundraising goal! Donate here
