Science World Illuminates the Imagination

This latest feature exhibition at Science World explores the many facets of light, showcasing interactive works from local and international artists. There’s a lot of things to do, buttons to press – and even a place kids can make their own animation.

Light

is on until Sunday, January 4, 2014. It’s the perfect answer for what to do in Vancouver on a rainy late fall (or early winter) day.

Feature One Giveaway

Giveaway: James and the Giant Peach

We are huge fans of Carousel Theatre, which brings professional theatre to young audiences at the Waterfront Theatre on Granville Island. We’re especially excited about their upcoming play, which is a heartwarming new vision of Roald Dahl’s timeless classic James and the Giant Peach. The show is running from December 6 to January 4, and we have a pair of tickets to give away!

Municipal Elections: Mom the Vote

If you’ve been anywhere in Metro Vancouver – or across BC, for that matter – in recent days you’ve seen them: campaign signs. The 2014 municipal election is coming up on November 15 and campaign season is in full swing. Concerned about traffic safety on your street or the conditions in your child’s classroom? This is your chance to make your voice heard.
